Strip Seal Expansion Joint

Deevin Strip Seal joint consists of an elastomeric sealing gland mechanically locked between two edge beams designed to provide the highest standard of performance. These Joints are designed for use on vehicular bridge structures, support heavy loads and efficiently accommodate multi directional movements including horizontal shear, vertical deflection and rotational movements.

The edge beams are produced from hot rolled steel conforming to ASTM A- 36 or ASTM A - 588 grade or equivalent. The section has a minimum thickness of 10.5 mm all along its cross section which is exceeding MORT&H Requirement.

Strip Seal Expansion Joint

The "V" shape seal allows the expansion joints to move freely and is not affected by long-term fatigue due to its flexibility. Strip seals consist of a gland of specially shaped elastomeric material that spans a deck joint opening. The gland is mechanically locked into a pair of rolled or extruded metal shapes that in turn are anchored to the edges of deck slabs.

It is used to seal expansion joints located in heavy, high volume, high-speed traffic areas in parking structures, stadiums, and other types of concrete structures. The continuous elastomeric sealing element of Deevin's Strip Seal System is extremely rugged and is engineered for durability. The Neoprene Seal has over 25 years of proven and durable performance. The high-performance neoprene seal locks into the steel profile to provide a completely waterproof system. The elastomeric sealing gland is available in two standard sizes, of movement capacity from 0 mm to 80 mm and 0 mm to 130 mm. This is the most popular and acceptable joint systems among Bridge Consultants and engineers worldwide.
